"When runners complain of overuse injuries, it's safe to bet they're running on roads." -- Adam Chase, Coauthor of the Ultimate Guide to Trail Running
3 x 26 floors (the other stairwell was being painted). Vanity sets, too.
Keep running!
Just got back from a nice big breakfast with the family. YUM.
A light workout today just to keep the usual calories burning and to continue working the abs (these persistent love handles are annoying as all get out).
I got called to help out a church league softball team tonight so I'll be parked right in the middle of their lineup. After that, it's all rest until the Marathon!
Went 4-for-5 (3 singles, double) and walked en route to a barn-burning win, 22-16. Lots of fun.
Michelle G. and I are planning to travel down on Sat. to register. She has found a campground about 4 miles from the start. Are any other folks planning to camp?
I (we) are looking for a way to have a car at the finish (or a ride back to the campground after the marathon).
Admittedly, logistics are not my "thing"...anyone have any suggestions?
I know even with my third row seating, my car will be full Sunday. However....is it possible for us to follow you to the finish Saturday night to leave your vehicle there, and then between all of us Eden folk we can get you guys to the start on Sunday morning? Just an idea..
before spending the day teaching kindergarten.
2500 yds (main set 8 x 100 IM order) 8 mi in 61:30
I am going to say this: I am very jealous of you marathoners. I've another couple weeks of hard work before I get to have any fun.
1. I got a C in chemistry. Ginger will have to show me how to dance on tables to celebrate this. The most important thing I learned in chemistry: what it is like to struggle in school - I have a new perspective. Academics have always come pretty easily to me (I got As and Bs in everything else, including chem lab).
2. I'm not starting at the lab until May 27th. I will be on the island sometime next week but I'm not sure exactly when.
along the odiferous towpath, which has lots of newly planted areas. My guess is that there is manure mixed into the topsoil.
Safe travels to all those headed to Sugarloaf tomorrow...
No run yet, but I biked Adria to preschool today to commemorate the end of commute another way week. What a great day to be out. And I saw Michele as I was out; good luck to all the Sugarloafers!
while Maggie played in the sand box. I think I might be on to something. Maybe Matt and I will start making the Wednesday track workouts.
Ginger looks to be in great shape for Sugarloaf. Good luck to everyone.
After work. I was very tired and draggy at first, so I set the autopilot to "relax" and felt reasonably good for the last half of the run.
Ran easy with 3 friends and 3 little ones in two strollers. Melissa & Caroline of MDI fame were among the good crew. Got to do some pushing of the double and single along the way, giving me pleasant flashbacks to many a good run about EL & 7 Bridges. Life is good.
