What's your run?
Abs and pushups as well.
Now, off to do a little shopping and then head to Bucksport to watch CeCelia in the track meet.
At the Old Town Memorial Weekend 5K! 20:48. My splits were difficult to determine because only mile 3 was marked, but it felt like a very strong first mile, slow second, and really strong 1.1 at the end.
4.1 for the day with the 1-mile warmup. Can't wait to race in Ellsworth Monday.
and the age group win.
...is it normal to gain some weight the week after a big event like the marathon? I think I have gained about 2-3 pounds this week. I know this will sound crazy, but I am sick over it. Someone make me feel better! :)
I weighed 184 sat. morning before Sugarloaf, and I still am in the 186-187 range right now. In Hyannis, I kept on a few extra pounds until 7-10 days after the marathon when I ended up dropping almost 10 the following week.
and if the scale causes you stress, get rid of it :-)
I realize I sometimes have an unhealthy obsession with my weight. After being so heavy, I worry I will gain it all back. I know I have kept the weight off for several years now, so I just need to keep working on the mental aspect of all that. I'm a work in progress you know! :)
quick quick.
with Chatter, and the wind nearly knocked us over a couple times. Aside from that - serene.
14 training days left!
I know this conflicts with the sun run but if anyone's still around not racing I plan on doing cadillac climbs before church. See you on the mountain ~7:00 cause I want to be done by 9 or so.

So I will post this again -
Group run
Had a fun group out there for a reverse Lake this morning. Holly, Amy, Karen, Meagan, Beth, Lisa and dogs. I had both Maggie and Fenway. I am very proud of Fenway. He made it all the way around and even tried to hump Missy on the way up the hill. Can't fault the dog for needing a little extra encouragement.
Hope to make the Sunday run with the crew. There will also be a group going out at 8:00 on Monday. All are welcome.
I hope I get this right because it was a quick call and a bit broken up. Don't you love cell phones?
Judson ran the first leg for the Mainiacs and set a course record. Kristin Berry ran leg 2 for the Road Hags and maybe won it? Evan won leg 3 for the Mainiacs. Sheri Piers set a course record on leg 4 running for the Hags and maybe won that outright too. Sounds like Mainiacs are winning the relay as of right now and the Hags are in SECOND. HOW COOL!!! Yay Maine!
They've got great weather up there -- high clouds, little wind, mid-40's temp. Wish I knew more!
good stuff! WOOHOO, WAY TO GO MAINIACS, HAGS AND FOSSILS!!!!!
Thanks for the news, Liddy!
(P.S. Go Fenway!)
To see Mainers tearing it up. :) Thanks for the update!
We might hear more from Chetticamp (sp?). Right? Or is that too late? I love the Hags. Did Shannon end up going this year? I know she was talking about it at one point.
Ran a very slow, relaxed 4.5 this morning around the UVM bike path loop to shake the 8 hours of driving yesterday out of my legs. Not feeling tip-top, but that is partly due to my involuntary taper I'm sure. I'll be rested and (hopefully) ready to go tomorrow, and the forecast has cooled a bit, much to my relief.
Wow, the Maine juggernaut is flying up in NS! The hags are scary fast--2 Olympic Trials runners will do that for you. Keep the reports coming.
bike with the boys. We stopped a lot to look for frogs, turtles, and fish. We saw a falcon and a bald eagle. Oliver spotted all of them. We got caught in the rain too. First run tomorrow!
between yesterday and today. Congrats on your PR and AG win, Spotter!
to hear all the news today!
Sounds like things are going very well for the Cabot runners- awesome!
Spotter, congrats on your PR! You are in great shape!
Mark, best of luck. I will be cheering for you!
Ginger, I'm envious of your run tomorrow, but I'm allowed to jog Monday so I will wait patiently (yeah, right!) for that.
You and Dice-K are on quite a roll..although I'm not sure he's had the same success off the mound.
Good luck tomorrow at the VCM, Mark! Hope the weather stays cool.
Keep the Cabot reports coming. Sounds like there will be a lot to celebrate there tomorrow morning.
MarkW, we'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Have a great run. Good job to our Cabot Crew too. Congratulations Spotter on that PR and AG award - it just doesn't get any better than that! All I did notable today was conspicuous consumption of baby-back ribs at the running class picnic. It was great fun with our class.
I'm envious of the group runs on MDI tomorrow, but we'll be up soon. Enjoy! Suzanne, that weight will come back off soon - no worries. Life is good.
--today for the high school track team went very well. I believe that both the boys and girls came in first. Tucker was pleased to place first in his Pole Vaulting event since he hurt his ankle and is not running any other events as to heal up before states.
5th gear for the ride:25.2454 mph 40.6286 kmh 11.2857 meters/sec 2221.5988 feet/minute.Congrats Spotter on the 5k PR,sounds like the Mainiacs might make in four in a row. That is awesome and thanks for report Lid.Good luck all in Vermont and in Pineland Challenge.Feeling pretty good for Red Hook Ale 5k in Portsmouth,NH tomorrow at 11:00am.Race is sold out at 2,000 so plenty of company for any pace.
10 slow hilly miles in CT. Thats 34 for the week for me, which meets my goal. All systems go. harryb
Not the race I wanted, but the Cabot experience is pretty cool. I got to meet plenty of funny people from around the state that I would never have been thrust into the same car with otherwise. I had about ten minutes of good running, and seventy-ish of just hanging on. Great weather, and awfully pretty up there. Almost as pretty as around here. : )
