What's your run?
for 9.7 mi, then 1500 yds easy (read: tired and doing stuff on a 1:35 interval) swim. Run felt REALLY good.
6 at 6 with Brian.
...but dry, and with a little effervescent kick at the end.
was all Brian, I just drafted.
...I now have some empathy for how the safety pace car feels during a caution period in a formula one race.
nothing wrong with a mercedes. If you had this then you'd have problems.
You were more like this after that sprint.
are too funny!
let it be known to the Eden Universe that just one day after he passed, one of George Carlin's questions about life, "do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery?" was finally answered.
First off, Thanks Eden and HH for organizing the Tremont race yesterday. Very well organized and a great course. And a special thanks to all the folks who encouraged and cheered my daughter as she "rounded out the field" in the kids run. She was so excited and proud of her "running race":) A plug in for my son who ran as well, awesome job!
We were one of the 2 families who joined the club yesterday. So... Hello Eden! I look forward to meeting, running, and racing with you all.
I'm off for a foggy 5 miles in SWH.
John
It is good to have you all on board.
Did you son run 8:24 yesterday? We have one "unknown" we are trying to track down?
Send me an email president@edenathletics.com and I'll send you a list of upcoming events - including a 400M fun dash for kids on the track the evening of July 19th..and a one mile Fun Run for families at Little Long Pond on the morning of July 20th..followed by a picnic at Seal Harbor Beach. All part of Run MDI Weekend.
Yes, that was my boy. E-mail on the way with the info.

Welcome, John S.!
Glad to have you and your family with us and hope to see you at our regular group runs too.
Vanessa & I just sauntered about on the W. side of EL for 3 miles but were too late to see Judson & Brian. Loved the use of "effervescent" Brian. Life is good in the woods.
Hello and welcome to you and yours!!!
I live in SWH so I may you see you out there sometimes!
No running for me today, but I am going to bike later today...
You have probably seen me. Starting around January; if you saw a guy running on Seawall typically under or over dressed (I can't seem to get the hang of the weather here) pulling or being pulled by a very energetic light brown dog, that was me:)
I run down there sometimes. Welcome to the club!
I HAVE seen you! I'm the girl who wears the red hat!
today in 1:40. Tough running conditions with the humidity, quite a few walking breaks on the EL hill. I ran the lake almost twice, I walked it in once I hit 1:40. Good practice for Bucksport.
It is humid out, glad I didn't have to race today. I wouldn't have broken 20 minutes. However I still would have broken the course record, heehee.
Got a call from my son, upset because his vehicle broke down. Talking on the cell phone definitely slows you down! 11 miles anyway.
Mid morning Seawall Rd to Bass Harbor Rd. Up and down the hills towards tremont then return. 41:56. Foggy, sticky, but not rainy.
RK and I ran the whole course today fairly easy (about 1:23+). We saw all but mile 8 marked clearly, and I did some stride drills down some key hills to help develop my race strategy. I have a few race goals set, but Ryan insists that beating him should be one.
It's on. The battle of student vs. master.
"The battle of student vs. master." Now that is a battle I will never have to worry about fighting! hehe
Good luck, Spot!
Final preparations for the Tour - Saw a *barn caving in at Mile 9*.
saw a *big, spacious graveyard at mile 8*.
16 miles with Brian Biking along giving me water. Started in Bar Harbor and went out to Eagle lake, then over to Bubble pond. Then over to the base of Day Mountain and out the trail to route 3 and back into bar Harbor. Nice loop.
Brian by the end.
Pigfarm road. or Hi-ho trail.
Not quite so dry by the end this time.
2mi. w/u out the Park Loop to Sieur de Monts and the 2mi. mark on the marathon course. Then, two minutes on, one minute float from there out to the 3mi. mark and then the rest of the way back into town. Headwind going out past the tarn, nice tailwind for the three miles back. Felt awful at the beginning, better at the end. 26:45 for the 4-mile section.
[Hat tip: Tom K.]
I have a new babysitter starting tomorrow morning at 8:30. I am planning to run around 9:00. I would love some company.
go clockwise around the lake and you'll meet us!
There's a group of us running the lake at 9:30 today if you can meet us! We'd love to have your company!
late start around 9:00pm.Rainy and muggy.Stayed up the majority of the day driving my sister to Manchester airport for her flight home to Lake Tahoe after a family visit and two day 25th high school reunion. She survived day one intact but day two Sat she partied very hard. Not an ideal way to prepare for an Xterra triathlon which Laura will do this Sat near her home in Tahoe City.Website:http://www.xterraplanet.com/races.Good luck my sister you will need it.
are funny. I'm sure she'll have recovered by Saturday!
as long as she's in the Xterra she'll be fine.
