What's your run?

98 min on the road bike

need to get the hang of this so I can post some not-pathetic bike splits

Bike splits are unimportant,

Bike splits are unimportant, you know.

It's all about time on the saddle

Ride for the fun of it (biking on the island is a blast) and your times will come.

49:24

for 6.5 mi. I do believe that's HIM run pace :D

T2: packing lunch, walking to work, 20 oz lemon lime gatorade in the process

5 miles

Tom and I kept things real easy on the Great Meadow and Jesup trails. Marion, I hope you tracked down the crew.

Hey Ginger

Had a nice run with Megan, but I missed Sarah & Karen.
I don't think I will be able to do the long run Saturday (bad knee).

Hope to catch up with ya soon.

Sorry Marion

I took my book out there around 8:45 and read until the first person I knew showed up. Amy and I ran the lake. Glad you found Megan. I plan on running tomorrow at 7:00 with Karen and others. Sorry about your knee. You can always join us on your bike.

pulling the monkey ~ he's gained weight! I'd call this a strength workout...

Nice to talk with Vanessa, Bob, Becky & Bob and to see Marion and Meaghan on the way in, then Amy & Sara finishing up their run...Another great day to be in the park!

10 miles

Hot but nice.

I would really like to run earlier on the hot days, but it is so hard. DeLaney still wakes up in the night. Do you know I have not slept through a night in over 21 months? It is wearing me down. I think it is time for some tough love for the little one, because I am so very tired. :(

tough love

I feel your pain suzanne - I am still waiting up for an 18 yr old.. and I have a ten yr old shiz tzu who insist on getting up two to three times a night (might be the treats?).. I have not slept a full night in.. I am guessing 10 yrs.. thank god for my abillity to cat nap starting at 8pm..

Suzanne

I don't know how you ran 10 miles in this heat. Same to you Julie, on your bike ride. You gals are tough. I'm going to do my long run tomorrow, it's supposed to be cooler, I hope it's true.

I can

handle the heat, I guess.....but I'm desperate for some sleep! LOL

Off to work. Good luck tomorrow, let me know how it goes. I'll cross my fingers for cool temps for you. :)

I always think of

that verse in that U2 song; "sleep comes like a drug".

20 bike miles

on the carriage roads plus however far it is down duck brook road back to BH to catch the bus to SWH. The blueberrys are ripe. Stopped on top of Day Mt. and grazed for a while.

6 miles....

mill dam loop. Hot and humid = slow. I saw some ripe blueberries too. No grazing for me though.

Day Off

...at least from running. Plenty of core workout from the move, though. RK and I have new digs right in the front of the building we're in now, so when everyone walks in, we'll be the first thing they see.

A quick hike and 5k..

on the rowing machine to bring my 2008 total to 1 million meters. That works out to about 35,000 meters a week. Once I submit my log book and two cereal box tops to the folks at Concept 2 they'll send me a Million Meter Club certificate, a t-shirt, and a kilometers to miles decoder ring. I would have preferred to have run the equivalent distance the past six months but it's not a bad option when your wheels are on the mend.

Congratulations, Frank!

so if you left from the Town Pier, where would a million meters put you?

Hopefully some place with a 24 hour diner..

or a Cracker Barrel. I imagine I'll be hungry when I get there..

That is

a lot of rowing. Congratulations on going platinum!

12-miles

Some on roads, some on trails, some on golf course. Waited until it started to cool off and it was so nice.

around EL with Bob C. & some with Becky too. Good seeing Julie, Kasch, & Karl and Marion & Megan too. I had fun with the track workout last night too, which was made much easier by the good company.

Congratulations on the 1,000,000 meters Frank! I hope that certificate is good for a million calories at Cracker Barrel.

Life is good in the woods.

In the p.m. The cool air was just starting to come in on the breeze, making it a really nice twilight run. I didn't push it and got into the zone where your body moves without much conscious thought at all.

'round EL in 50 min. Lots of work at the cabin, too. Got a land line today at the cabin. The cellphone was just too difficult to deal with in the Dead Zone.

Back to Beantown, tomorrow, ... I'm back safely at the time of this post Friday pm.

Keep running!
