Welcome to RUN MDI weekend!
I grinned like one of those lolcats pictures, I has BIKE
and just like that the headache's gone, I'm not tired, and I'm hungry for the first time in a week (no appetite: another withdrawal symptom). My legs flushed with fatigue walking up the stairs again, they're sore and I'm so happy
How do you do insert a hyperlink like the "lolcats" one above?
it's hard to explain because when I type out directions it tries to make one. I'll refer you to the editor...
I was hoping it wasn't that complicated. Anyway what I wanted to hyperlink was this race website which has the cats on it. 24 Hours of Great Glen I'm doing the race but that's not the point. The point is I couldn't figure out what the heck the cat theme was until... You posted this link. I should really try to be more hip, just sayin'.
edit your post and make a hyperlink for you. You can click "edit" on your post and then you'll see how it's done.
I was introduced to lolcats this semester; our RA had an lolcat on each room's door in our building. They're hilarious! And as for being hip: the next thing you need are Camper Bucks.
Google "camper bucks", got it! Soon to be hipper:)
camper bucks wouldn't be on Google. If you know any Camp Beech Cliff kids, they can clue you in.
I am a camper buck millionaire - though the only 2008 one I have is a Ping. They're harder to come by when you don't work there.
predicted mile and last night's Eden Lake jaunt on this, the 200th -- ouch! -- time flies! -- day of the year. They have changed it from Eagle to Eden -- haven't they?
On my way to Portland for the weekend, I'll be stopping by in Belfast for the Maine Celtic Celebration and the 5K race which starts at 8AM. Since the race starts and ends at the high school, a few people are guessing that it's the same course as the pancake 5K. Anyone else headed there?
Beautiful morning walk from Duck Brook bridge with Vanessa, Becky & Bob C, plus we got to see Kev biking by. I like the "Eden lake" Bruce. Glad you're biking and your appetite is back Alyie Life is good in the woods.
Craig and I walked 4 miles along the side of Eagle--or should I say Eden--Lake this morning. Hope to see lots of you at Eagle Lake and/or the Jack Russell later today.
this afternoon according to one weather service. Some others I have checked are a little less alarmist. Check your preferred weather source before heading out for the 4:30 run and bike ride today.
with RK at noon today. It stayed overcast which made for a good run.
Managed to stay one step ahead of the heat, but just barely.
sending birthday ((((hugs)))) from Maine. Love, Alyie
Deb O'D.
Glad you got some birthday miles in. I'm told birthday miles count double on the edenometer.
got a new pair of shoes today (Tom K! we need to catch up on Monday) - I am telling my legs, WE WILL BE RUNNING SOON. I actually think I would be okay to run, the only thing standing in my way is the bunny bite... maybe if I lace them really loosely...
got to put two pairs of old shoes in the Nike recycle box, too! Cool.
At work today and evening so a rest day for me. I actually need it. My softball game for tomorrow evening was cancelled so I can make the track festival.
So nice to see Frank, Bob and Vanessa, Judy, and Shannon and Adria. I had the pleasure of meeting Craig and Joanne, and Bob and Becky C.
I had the most wonderful run around the lake with Bob C...not only did he push DeLaney, but was a wealth of information and stories. Thanks for a great run! :)
Hey there everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful MDI weekend! I've just come back from my first five mile race... I ran the whole thing and did it in under an hour... slow, but good for me :) It was hard to finish without all my Eden support but I just pictured you all there cheering me on (and I did wear my Eden shirt... we represented!). It's hot here in Nova Scotia so I'm hoping that you all have the cool air. Good luck everyone!
Great job Tennille!!! You've done SO well in your running endeavors! You are definitely an inspiration to me! Enjoy the glow!
Keep us posted and best of luck with your program there.
I ran my first 5 mile race in 61 min. It was my most memorable race because I didn't walk either. I've been hooked ever since. Great job! Keep up the awesome work!
the 5 miler?
My first race was a 1k fun run when I was 10 or so. I won it. I was going to say the Sugarloaf 15k was my second race but no - I ran cross country in middle school so that was a bunch of races. I only fell into running as cross training for swimming; I did run middle school cross country but I was also swim training year around at that point.
She's raced every Eden Series event so far this season, as well as last fall's Rolling Bones. In fact, she's right up there in the points competition with Suzanne and Shannon.
Go, Tennille!
I was asking Ginger if the five miler were her first race.
it was my first race.
You ROCK girl! You are sure doing Eden proud- wish I could have been there to cheer you on! Keep up the excellent work!
And.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our birthday girls! Eat some cake for me!
Nice job Tenille! We are proud of you.
Happy Birthday Chris & Deb! May you enjoy all your favorite indulgences today and prolong the celebration for the entire month.
Had a great run with Shannon & Adria at EL & enjoyed seeing the good crew at EL and at Jack Russell's. Life is good in the woods.
