What's your run today?
appointment is at 1pm, so I don't think I will do any exercise until I get my leg checked out. I'm sure it's nothing, but better safe than sorry.
CAN'T WAIT to watch the Olympics! :)
Can anyone tell me what roads are around Wonsqueak Harbor? I'm trying to give my family directions and I can't pinpoint where exactly I'll start and finish at Schaefer tomorrow.
WALK/ RUN WHERE: Take Rt. 186 to Birch Harbor and follow East Schoodic Drive 1 mile to Wonsqueak Hbr. COURSE: All races begin and end at Wonsqueak Hbr, out & back along spectacular Schoodic Point. If you come to Twosqueak Hbr you've gone a squeak too far.
wanted to know if there was a physical address she could put into her GPS. I told her that it's Schoodic Point - it shouldn't be that hard to find us. :) We used to go there all the time when I was a kid.
PS - Scott, Are you running today?
44 degrees, 22 minutes North, 68 degrees, 2 minutes West
Should put you pretty much right at the start/finish line. It's on East Schoodic Drive right at the intersection of Workman Road.
day is going to be for resting. The massage got the kinks out of my legs, now I need to wait for a bit of inflammation to settle down.
Did an easy AB/7B 6 mile loop (47:20), grabbed some water and then did an easy two on the flat side of EL in a light mist. The cool weather is nice. Got to see Amy N & Vanessa afterwards.
Hope your inflammation subsides quickly Alyie. Suzanne, hope the hitch in your get-a-long is gone & you are green-lighted for more running fun.
Good luck to all of our racers this weekend!
Life is good in the woods.
Diagnosis is some irritation in the veins....going to have an ultrasound early next week to rule out a blood clot to be on the conservative side. Also have to start taking a baby aspirin a day to hopefully thin the pooling blood in my right leg. Yup, I'm getting old. :)
Ran 2 miles with Steve and then he headed around the lake and I headed back. Going to run the Machias 5-mile course tonight to make sure I remember all the hills, turns and get a good feelinng for it for next week.
rt 186 or call me 949-3920 i am going rt 195 to miss the road construction shannon and robin are riding with me we are meeting at Home Depot in Ellsworth at 6:30/ish if anyone wants to ride or follow
CeCelia and I will meet you and follow you. Neither of us are allowed to race right now, so we will be doing an easy run wearing bib numbers. :)
Please don't wait for us.....we are not going to make it to the race.
'round EL. Nice to be on the island.
Keep running!
In the pouring rain. 38:46. Yes RK I did run!
during a brief moment of calm in Stockton - and saw the train. I think he tooted at me!
1.5mi w/up, 3 x 2000m at cruise pace w/60sec recovery, 1.5mi w/dwn. 7:50 7:50 7:56
Good luck to everyone this weekend!
Had to burn some calories...Jimmy is making me fried shrimp tonight! :)
Almost chilly out there this morning.
Pre-rode the course today in the rain. It's extremely muddy with sections I wouldn't really call ridable. I did ride it with one minor crash (didn't get my foot out of the pedal in time and fell over). Have an idea of what to ride and what to hike-a-bike. 12:00 LeMans start and I'm leading off for our team so there is a tiny bit of running involved, just going to do it in my bike shoes:)
:)
Machias Blueberry course with Judson in the evening.
AM: did some upper body strength work, replacing the 1200lb. lead-acid battery bank at camp.
