Legs feel a little rusty after the day off [from running] yesterday.
in 61 min. along the riva. Gettin' steamy.
Keep running!
Some with Matt H. most with Matt F.
Getting pretty warm out and about. Really tough for me but I still ran the last half mile under 5 minute pace and got some strides in after.
Lots of Eden people out and about.
Big team running around Eagle Lake with Fleet Feet shirts on and there bus was from Vermont.
...from Duck Brook, just to shake things up, instead of 6 at 6. And, for the first time this year, went clockwise for the part around Eagle Lake. ~76min.
Warm and sunny, but drier than it's been in a while. Maybe from the relative dryness, the carriage road surface actually seems looser and more scuffed up. But maybe that's just me making excuses.
You should see the carriage roads out by Jordan pond/day Mountain. you could grow a garden in there the roads so loose.
I decided to do a trail run since it's been on my mind lately. Taking Judson's advice to strike out and see what you find, I decided to run up St. Sauveur and swing the long way around by Somes to the fire road and back to the Acadia Mnt parking lot. Running up St. Sauveur was wonderful. Off the back side it was a little too steep and slippery to do much running but it was OK. Then I got to the Flying Mtn trail. The short version is it is not runable, not even close. The fire road was a nice steady uphill. Total time, an amazing 1:16:16 for 4.3 miles. Whew:)
I was shooting for 16. I don't have a lot of drive these days.
(((hugs))) I've been there...
No worries Sara, I must say those 3 miles were nice. I think Tom and I are running around the lake tomorrow at 8:45.
I will be there without the stroller.
see you in the morning.
I couldn't make it 3 miles without walking.
Lot's of Team Eden out there for sure. Got to see Ginger, Judson, Matt F, Jill, Shelly, and Brian (who was moving right along for his 10 @ 10). It was really good to catch up with Jill & Shelly after too long. Beautiful morning. Life is good in the woods.
Edenometer at only 583 miles??
fine now. Not sure why it was off earlier.
same old route. Nice shade and breezes in there. A minute faster than usual.
This is my first day in a new training cycle where I will run only 4 days a week. I want to work in one biking day, but I will see how the legs feel. Two days will definitely be rest. It will be interesting to try.
Bob, Shannon, and I are meeting at the lake at 8am in the morning if anyone wants to join in! :)
Sounds refreshing, Suzanne. I bet you'll feel more energized with this new training cycle. Keep me updated on how it's going.
Not sure if refreshing is the right word....did I mention three of the days are HARD? LOL LOL Gotta love that coach of ours! :)
Seriously, I did feel overwhelmed by it at first, but then when he said thats why all three of the other days could be rest, I decided maybe I shouldn't be so afraid. But...its been a long time since I rested three days out of a week, and I know I'm going to stress about my weight because of that. (Don't yell at me!) :)
ran the Cape J course in 39 minutes, each minute was for every orbit around the sun.
...Happy Returns!
A clever way to put it, too.
a day late, but I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
love Alyie
On the Woodlawn trails in Ellsworth, and a little on the road around sunset. I took a nice digger on a tree root/rock combination move, but thankfully didn't hurt myself or land in a pile of mud : )
...with the Sand beach party? Is it still on? Still at 5? Who's going?
...but I have to work. :(
I'll be at the Village Green at 5, near the Explorer side, and take the bus out to the beach with whoever shows up! I do have sparklers, and I need to remember to run home after work and get my little sandcastle pail :-)
Diane, if you are coming out later, look for a blonde girl in a black swimsuit (magenta trim) that says ROCK STAR on the front - that's me!!!
