Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

5 miles easy, then 5 miles progressive, for 10 total. I'm happy with the splits for the last 5 (9:12, 8:32, 8:28, 8:13, 7:55)....that gave me an 8:49 average for the whole run. A little hot with an 11:30 start, but DeLaney had a doctor appointment so there you go.
With the exception of CeCelia, my whole family is sick. I am sniffly and have a stratchy throat. I am resting the next two days, taking good care of myself, and thinking positive!
Suzanne, I feel for you. I have been sick for three weeks now and began my second dose of antibiotics last Friday (Tom - no comments). I really hope that you will shake this off quickly because I plan to cheer you on at MDI.
Take care
You ran a 3:42 coming off an injury AND being sick? Girl, you are a Rock Star!!! I will look so forward to seeing you on the 19th!
Next time it may be 3:42 but last Sunday it was 3:43. I am not a rock star but just a stubborn hard-headed NUT.
What training plan are you following? Mine says 4,3,4 and 8 for this week. Geez, I think you are going to do well:)
Take care of yourself while taking care of your family. Plenty of fluids, rest, stuff like that.
I am following the "Coach Cake" plan. :)
I am trying to take good care. I keep telling myself that I got over a small cold before the Half, so maybe this will amount to nothing. I am drinking lots of fluids, and I even took a small nap today! (A rare treat.)
9-miles this morning with Brian and Matt H.
4 miles on seawall. Sunny, warm, and breezy.
Twas another beautiful run with great company (thank you Amy & Ginger) around WH/PH. Also got to see Megan, Vanessa, Karen, Sara, & Magnolia. Life is good in the woods.
standing in the parking lot this morning and very much wanted to stop and say hi, but I had to meet kids in Bar Harbor to get them set for kayaking.
I dig mid week escapes. I get one next week too :D
Legs feeling better but I still have zero propulsion. Chugging out 9's and 10's.
Today at work the department administrator came into the OR and announced that I won the drawing for a massage. I had no idea which drawing she was talking about, but was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth, and so after lunch, I went down and enjoyed a 15-minute chair massage. What a treat!
I didn't feel great but it was too nice not to run. Toured Great Meadow in the sun.
Speed and Strength
1000m x 8 around 3:35-3:40 400m x 4 around 1:20-1:30
Leg weights, core and a 5k jog.
I'm still a long distance loper, though.
Got in a good workout with Brian chasing me on his bike. warmed up and did the 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 with half rests, then cool down.
