loop road on the C'dale
Duncan and Tracy on the bikes and better lung adjustment to the humidity. I have a knob for that increment setting.
6 mi - 9:30, 8:29, 8:04, 7:43, 7:24, 6:47
swim: 2200 scy
descending intervals on the loop road with increasing intensity and around 2 min. recoveries. Light traffic but no air. Pity! Still circumnavigated in 55 min. Is training in these conditions anything like altitude training? It really seems like there isn't enough oxygen around.
It sure seems like exercising in these conditions should help. It will make low humidity feel very nice, that's for sure. Other than that I don't know of any benefits from it. I'd imagine the only thing it will do to eveyone is slow them down and only the mentally strong will gain anything from it. The rest will simply look at a time and get discouraged by it, especially if they are trying to do anything hard.
Tips,
Put off the workout for another day or change the workout If not, Slow down, know things will be slow and be good with it. Take more rest between intervals Drink, drink, drink(water) Salt. If you try and ignore the conditions you may end up dissapointed or even sick, hurt or dead. And remember, everyone else is dealing with it too.
with Bobx2. I was tired after track last night. The fast boys were easy on me, much easier than Karen would have been;)
CeCelia, DeLaney, and Desiree. So much for an easy loop around the lake, these two pushed the pace and I think it must be an EL stroller PR. :) Had an Anna, Vanessa, Becky, and Lily sighting, too!
This is probably the closest to 6 @ 6 that I will ever come. Everyone knows I NEVER get up and run early, but today was a labor of love. I want to squeeze in every minute I can with CeCelia before she is off to college in the fall. *sniffle*
Thanks Suzanne for dropping off the timer.. sorry I missed ya..
Jimmy was gonna deliver it for me yesterday, he took a nap instead! lol
on the bike trainer plus some weights and core.
...with CeCelia and DeLaney. :)
tomk tried to help me tonight, but even the two of us and his big, strong, teenage son couldn't get the lug nuts loose.
To the car shop tomorrow!
she'll come to 6 at 6 Monday or Tuesday next week with me, though she wants to be assured it's not 6 at 6 at 6 [minute pace].
We're finishing dinner and plotting the weekend/next week's training.
