1st Quietside 10-k Southwest Harbor
June 29th, 1991

Tom St. Germaine of Bar Harbor was the first person across the finish line in the 10-k road race in a time of 37 minutes, 15 seconds. The top finisher for the women was Susan Foster of Bar Harbor in 47:39.
Racers were faced with a challenging course and soring temperatures Saturday but, according to Lyons, cool breezes made conditions perfect for the race.
Also competing were Mark Jeong (42:19) who took second place overall and was the top finisher in the 20-29 age group; Andy Jaffe (44:56) third place overall and first in the 30-39 division; Fred Jacques (46:48) top in the 40-49 age group; other island finishers, Steve Hudson (48:36); Joseph Quinn (51:29); Chris Field (51:58); Martin Potter (53:48); Allan Kleinman (56:40); and Ellen Liauba (58:05).
