Week-Day or Saturday Run

Again with the offer for Tues. on the road bike. I hope to log every tues on the road this spring. Any distance really, just need to be back by 3 pm. looking for time in the saddle here not so much speed efforts. Park loops or Cadillac climbs would suffice.

Past requests have gone unanswered but hope springs (in spring).
Athletics is more than running you know.

A very competitive triathlon team is looking for a runner to compete in the Acadia Triathlon being held Saturday morning, Oct. 6 at Long Pond on Mount Desert Island. Our runner has a scheduling conflict and cannot make it. The running leg comes first, it is 4.1 miles long.

Please call me at 978-375-3304 if you're interested.

Thank you,
Paul

Want to do 3 Lakes on Saturday? At K-pace, not J-pace? Send me an e-mail (joycejax@gmail.com) and lemme know! --Joyce

Karen, thanks for running with me! I'd love to do that same loop with you again as a pace run (I definitely overdid it trying to keep up with you when I still had 9 to go). Judy, thanks for the advice: just ordered big new shoes. I ended up covering the rest of the miles at a VERY slow jog.

And how nice to meet Bob and Vanessa--seems there are maybe 20 people who really really enjoy the Park every day, and you guys are definitely among them.

Everyone must be sleeping.

Cat and Mouse

How to play "Cat and Mouse"
• The kids are the cats.
• Everyone else running around the track are the mice.
• The object is for the cats to catch the mice. Catch as many as you can in the given time.
Rules:
• Go slowly around the track in the outside lanes. Wait for the mice to get by you. Once they get past you, chase them until you catch up and are even to them (stay in the outside lanes).

Has anybody been arount the Park loop road lately? I am wondering if it's clear and if there were any interest in organizing a Ride and Tie for Saturday.

Kevin

I am hoping to get out on the bike regularly this winter. Any one interested in some steady, not hammering miles on tues. or thurs. midday let me know.
I'd like to include mtn bike rides (as well as road).
Distance and duration negotiable.

Announcing the always popular Thanksgiving morning Eagle Lake run.

How does 9am sound?

I'll bring cider and pumpkin pie for after the run.

Kevin

Just a reminder that 6 at 6's are still going on every weekday at Eagle Lake.

Hope to see some of you in the AM.

Another reminder. 6pm on Saturday nights there will be a run on the MDI marathon course. We did this last year and it really helped me learn the course and we had some pretty big crowds show up. This year I'm switching the run to the evening mainly because there are just to many races Saturday mornings to compete with, but with the 6at 6 runs going on the weekdays you have no excuse on race day that you can't run well because it's to early.

Anyone want to join me tomorrow (Sat 8/13) in the AM for 6-8mi on the carriage roads?

Kevin

Every weekday starting this Monday there will be a 6am run from Eagle lake. I'll be there every weekday all summer long other than a couple days in July unless family stuff comes up or I'm sick. Everyone should plan on coming. the runs will be easy, yup easy, even I was running 45 minutes for the loop last week. It's great way to start the day and an extra 30-miles a week.

If anyone needs a ride from Bar Harbor and wants to go call my cell phone, 356-0001 the night before and leave a message.

Yes, there is still a track workout today.

Sorry for the confusion, I've been getting hooked up with DSL at my house the past few days.

So I've decided that I'm going to come down to the island to do an easy slow 20m tomorrow (Tuesday morning) using the 10m loop that Gary mentioned in this post. I'd like to start at 9:30am and anyone and everyone is highly encouraged to come along for whatever portion of the distance you'd like.

I do, however, need someone to tell me how to get to Jordan Pond House to start...

Just talked to Tom Kirby, who is hoping to get a group together for an Eagle Lake run starting at 5 pm today. Do it if you can...sounds like fun!
