I sincerely apologize regarding the article written about the MDI Boys CC Team members that were late for the most recent CC meet. Tracy and I are disappointed that the communication wasn't better to arrange the necessary transportation to team bus departure. Hence, the team was unable to compete as a planned. I hope this is not seen as a reflection of our committement to the running community. I had only the opportunity to see this artice today from the Wednesdays edition in Bar Harbor.

I'm posting this announcement on behalf of the Downeast Bike Club....

On Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 6 PM, starting at the Bar Harbor
Bicycle Shop on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor, there will be a Ride of
Silence to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed on the road,
to raise awareness that cyclists are here, and to ask that we all
share the road. ALL cyclists, whether recreational or more serious

Here's the scoop ... for those running Boston here's my plans: I'd like to meet at 6:15 at the Boylston Street T stop at the corner of Trement & Boylston Street. Eden runners have met there for the past three years. It seems to work, but with the new start time we'll have to meet earlier. Boarding starts at 6 for runners 1 to 7999 and 6:30 for runners 8000 to 15999. I think that gets us all. So if we meet at 6:15 we'll all board at 6:30. They're not fussy about your number and time of taking the bus ... they're just trying to get everyone out there.

I just dropped in to say hello - life has been hectic and crazy for the past several months. I am hoping to see all of you again soon when the weather gets better. I am planning on going for a bike ride in the park at EL on the day after Boston at about 4:00 - all things permitting. Hope all is will with everyone.
