Announcing EDEN's 2007 Track WorkoutsWednesday evening track workouts at the MDI High School. All paces are welcome and guidance is provided. Workouts start at 5:30 pm so arrive earlier for warm-ups. The workouts are usually completed by 6:30 or 7:00 pm. Suggestions for people new to the track - Begin a track workout with a warm-up that includes a mile or two of easy running, some stretching and five or six strides or accelerations, with good recovery after each. At the end of the workout, cool down with a mile or two of easy running and some stretching. The first track workout is planned for May 14th with the schedule to follow. Track Workouts
Track workouts are held during the spring and summer seasons on the MDI High School track, and are open to the general public. Workouts officially begin at 5:30 PM, but it is recommended that you arrive early to warm-up. Workouts are loosely structured; if you don't feel like running the prescribed workout, run your own, and take advantage of the company! Workouts are posted here a few days in advance to give individuals the opportunity to adjust their training schedules accordingly. |
